Collision Insurance is actually what the insurance company will pay when your car gets into an accident. Whether or not your car is totaled, your car insurance company will be paying for your car’s damage. After all, that is exactly the reason why you have car insurance, so you do not rack up a bunch of bills if you get into a car accident.
Just remember though, if you do get into a car accident and you car is totaled, it is a good idea to know the general price of your car.
