Many drivers may not be aware of the fact that some vehicles cost much, much more to insure than others. You need to be aware of this, however, because in addition to being safe, one of the main aims of car insurance is to get the best deal you possibly can. Naturally, if you happen to drive one of the cars that cost a lot to insure, then you will not be getting the greatest deal, not by a long shot.
Now, if you are financially well off, this may not matter. However, the vehicle that you drive is often something of a status symbol, so even if you cannot really afford, say, a BMW, a Jaguar, or a Corvette, many people do save up to be able to afford their dream car, never realizing that even after they can afford it, the insurance premiums can do some major damage to their bank account.
