Now that we have talked about walking to work, the next tip to save a heck of a lot of money on your car insurance is do not use your car for business purposes. Yes, I repeat, DO NOT use your car for business purposes.
Some insurance companies will actually add in a business use surcharge or increase your car insurance premium if your annual mileage increases – which is not what you want to deal with.
If you have to use your car for business purposes, make sure that your company or your agent knows so that way your daily business travel will be covered.

I think the previous driving history is the most important thing that an insurance company will first look for. The age of the vehicle is no doubt the second important factor. By checking all these things they just need to know that whether there are any previous accidents occurred or not. If there are any previous accident records then the premium may be a little bit high.

I believe that the best way to find cheap car insurance is through comparison sites. Keep in mind however that “cheap” doesn’t mean that it is the best deal. You have to ensure that you are dealing with a credible company, this way you can get your claims easily.

Yeah, not using your car for business purposes helps a bit. It’s also good if you take defensive driving. Shop around for cheap coverage from reputable car insurance companies. Use your car for lesser mileage. And oh, keep your driving history clean! Put all these things together and you get car insurance discounts that are significantly helpful.
